Have you ever wondered if you are wearing makeup in the right order? Maybe you’re wondering if you’re using makeup correctly and want to make sure you’re wearing it to look (and feel) your best.
Prior to Makeup Application
Don’t forget to wash your face and skin care before applying makeup. If you do your makeup in the morning, use sunscreen as the last step in your skincare routine.
Makeup Application – Step by Step
Makeup Primer
If you have decided to use a make-up base before tinted cosmetics, this time it should be used. A primer is a bridge between skincare and makeup, creates a canvas for the skin. Prepare and prepare the skin for makeup.
Using a makeup primer helps it adhere better to the skin. Not only will your makeup last longer, it will also look smoother and more even. Depending on the foundation you choose, it can brighten the skin, improve dark spots and hyperpigmentation, shrink pores and wrinkles, and even blur imperfections.
Color Corrector
If you have very dark circles, dark spots, hyperpigmentation, or an uneven skin tone that can’t be corrected with foundation and concealer, consider using a color corrector. Color correctors are pastel-colored correctors that should be applied to the affected areas before foundation and regular concealer.
These should be applied before the base makeup shade to balance and correct the skin tone on the desired area of the face. This makes the foundation and concealer smoother and more natural.
Foundation
Then apply the foundation. The foundation is the foundation for the rest of the makeup you apply to your face. The type and amount of foundation applied determines the tone of the overall look of the makeup.
Then choose a powder, stick, cream or liquid foundation and apply with your fingers, brush or sponge. Before applying the concealer, it is necessary to apply a primer to subsequently create a uniform base for colored cosmetics.
Concealer
If you follow your foundation with concealer, the foundation can cover imperfections and you just need a thin layer of concealer. On the other hand, for dark spots, blemishes, blemishes or dark circles, you may need a high coverage concealer.
If the eye area is very dark, consider a concealer with a neutralizing agent to combat darkness and shadows. When applying the concealer, tap it with your ring finger, a sponge or a brush and lift it up slightly to prevent it from sticking or wrinkling.
Highlighter
If you decide to use a highlighter, apply it right after your base makeup. The reflections come in different forms such as creams, powders, liquids or sticks. If you’re in a hurry, you can mix liquid highlighter with foundation. Choose the desired texture and strength and apply to the highest points of the face.
Eyeliner
When it comes to eyeliner, as I said earlier, the order of applying the eyeshadow depends on the look you want. For cat eyes, apply the eyeshadow next to define the line. To blend a smoky look, apply before the eyeshadow and blend after the eyeshadow.
If you don’t use eyeshadow, apply eyeliner before other eye products.
Eyebrows
After applying your eyeshadow, pencil and mascara, focus on your eyelids. The density of eye makeup and other colored cosmetic products applied to the face also determines the density of the eyebrows. Fill in the arches and thin areas with your favorite brow product, be it gel, wax, ointment, powder, pencil or pencil.
Setting Powder/Setting Spray
If you wish, you can use a translucent powder or a powder that matches your skin tone to set your makeup. A powder that matches your skin tone provides extra coverage and can help even out skin tone, minimize pores and control clarity. A transparent powder is an ideal product to combine with the concealer under the eyes and give it a fresh look.
The fixing spray holds your makeup in place for longer and is especially useful if you want crisp, vibrant makeup. The hardened spray also prevents makeup from melting in hot climates.
