FTC Disclosure Compliance Rules
In 2015, the Federal Trade Commission issued new disclosure rules.
These rules are designed to ensure that online media readers or viewers know if a blogger or publisher is sponsored, endorsed, or partnered with another company.
All/all links on 12Racks.com are affiliate links where I receive a small fee for selling certain products.
What are affiliate links?
Purchases are made on affiliated third-party websites: When a reader clicks on an affiliate link on 12Racks.com to purchase a product, the reader is purchasing the product directly from the seller (not 12Racks).
Amazon and/or other companies pay 12Rack a small commission or other payment to drive customers to their website.
The prices are exactly the same for readers whether they buy through an affiliate link or a non-affiliate link. Clicking on the affiliate link and clicking on the non-affiliate link does not change the price or anything else for the visitor.
12Racks uses two main types of affiliate programs:
1. Amazon Affiliate Link.
12Racks.com participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide website owners with a way to earn commissions by linking to Amazon.com and its affiliates and other websites they are affiliated with. A subsidiary of Amazon Service LLC.
2. Product Partner Link.
If you click on the product’s affiliate link and purchase the product, I will receive a percentage of the sale or other compensation.
Again, the prices are no different if you use these affiliate links. You no longer pay by clicking on the link. These links are not “pay per click”.
What about sponsored content?
I do not write sponsored posts. I want to provide honest and unbiased information. However, if a company wants to post sponsored content on 12Rack, I’ll make it clear at the beginning of the post.
Your purchase helps support my research work. Thank you very much! I respect you!
